Joe Osceola, Sr., 92, of Big Cypress passed away August 1, 2015, after a short illness. A life-long Big Cypress resident, he was born November 10, 1922, the son of Jimmie Druitt and Mary (Motlow) Osceola.

Joe is survived by his children, Cornelia Osceola; Joe Osceola, Jr. (Janet); William Osceola (Julie Manso); Janice Osceola; Samuel Osceola and Beverly Alumbaugh (Rick); 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Maggie Osceola and brother, Jimmie Hank Osceola (Marie).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Willie Osceola; sons, Dennis and Kenneth Osceola; his parents; brothers, Frank, Bill, Dan and Max Osceola and sisters, Betty Osceola and Annie Jumper.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Big Cypress New Testament Baptist Church with Pastor Arlen Payne officiating. Interment will follow at the New Seminole Cemetery in Hollywood, Florida.
